Need help diagnosing

On this 1991 camaro that i want to buy, the guy says it needs a wire on the top of the engine fixed, over by the thermosat housing. Would this be an expensive fix, or somthing that i could just do myself? thanks.

Re: Need help diagnosing

It really depends on what is wrong with the wire. If it is broken and easily accessible then it just a matter of getting the correct size/style of splice. and doing it. If the wire say melted and needs a whole section replaced that is a bit more in depth of a job but still not to bad. I do wire maintenance on aircraft so I know what I'm doing so to me I would say it a pretty easy but it all depends on what you are comfortable with. Using splices is a pretty simple thing to do as long as you take your time.

Re: Need help diagnosing

As Nova says it should be an easy fix but it would help to know what the wire is for. Does the owner know?
