Hey guys! I know this has been beat to death but I think I have a different situation. My car is a 91 but most of the wiring is from an 82. The 91 had a 700R4 originally. The car currently has a T5 and I do have the backup light plug but I can't seem to locate the plug for the backup lught from the car. I know it's probably from doing the wiring swap which is why it's lost but I do have a green 3 pring plug where the backup plug would be. It has a green plastic end with 3 blue prongs and the wires are black, grey and grey/red. It looks like an older plug like maybe it's from 82. But I'm not sure. As much as the car sound s like a wiring mess this is actually the only thing left undone on the car. The rest is flawless. Tahnsk!! Adam

 

So what wiring went to the auto shifter on the car; 91 or 82 ???

 

The car was all stock when it had the 700R4. The car had most of the wiring, the engine and transmission replaced with all that from an 82 with everything int but a crap body. I don't know if the 82 was always a 5 speed. But I knoe the green plug that I mentioned hanging on the passenger side of the trans looks like it would be that on a 82. That's all I really know
