Real quick pull down hatch wiring question

Hello everyone just finishing a trunk repair on my newly acquired 87' Firebird Formula. Everything has been greased and put in place except I have three wires not attached and the mech. will not work.

The car: 87' Firebird formula, LG4, Auto no trunk release button on dash, brake light equiped.

Wires:
Red W/ white stripe: Has a brass connector head, Runs 12V, (I don't know where it connects)

Blue: Have no info on this wire

White: Heard that this may be the connection for brake light.

If anyone can tell me to what or where these connect to it'd be much appreciated. (pics would be much appreciated if at all possible)

Thanks and have a great Friday!!

Always look thru the Tech Articles on Thirdgen.org before beginning your repair.

I wrote and posted the above link on repairing these hatch pull-down units in 2002.

The blue wire plugs into the read/white stripe wire. The white wire is not plugged into anything for your model year. It was plugged into a black with orange-stripe wire on the late 89-early 91 model year cars to turn on and off the rear hatch light. Yours will have a manual switch if it is equipped with the optional rear hatch light.

The red/white wire provides power to the pull-down unit. If you need any parts for these pull-down units, I have them available on my web site (TDS) Top-Down Solutions.
