How to open hatch with no power and no key

So my motors pulled and I gotta get crap out of the back of the trans am. My motors pulled. I tried hooking a battery to te power and I grounded it ad nothing. What do I do ? Thanks

Not sure about trans am's but the camaro has key lock to enter the rear also. Use that if it's present, it'll work without power.

You will be able to open it if:
1) there is a battery in the car
2) if the auto shift console is connected and in park or neutral
3)the power motor is of course still working...

I have the key but the lock is jammed.

if i understand correctly you can if it has it pull out the rear cargo light. then you can look inside the compartment and pull on the cable it should unlock the rear hatch .
