91 Z28 VAT's bypass?

I've been dealing with the VAT's not letting my car start for almost 2 months now, and I've finally decided to learn how to fix it. I read that if you bypass the VATs you also have to bypass something with the ECM for it to start, is that true? And if anyone could link me, or give me instructions on how to bypass the VAT's I'd appreciate it, thanks

Have you done anything to identify exactly what part of the VATS system is the problem? Key , relay , module .........?

What do you want to do ?
Bypass the key ( most common cause of starting problems ) cheapest / easiest
or delete VATS completely ; more expensive and time consuming
Two completely different setups ; also related to WHAT is your actual problem ,the popular bypassing of the key with resistors will do little if your problem is with another part of VATS
Do a search , plenty of VATS how to articles on here

Well it's not the key I tested that before and it's giving the right resistance, so I'll check those articles out and see what I can find. Thanks

Pm replied, You will need to remove the starter enable relay and jumper the green and yellow wires if you have your memcal reprogramed. Im not sure what member solicited you but as per thirdgen site rules this is not allowed.

SO ?
Just because you can read the resistance of the key doesn't mean the system can
If the VATS module is not reading the key because of a broken wire or dirty /worn contacts in the Ign barrel you see the resistance means little
