Volt Gauge
Okay.. the alternator wasn't charging.. replaced it.. still not charging.. wiggled and tightened some wires near the battery.. blocks of stuff there.. that I have no idea what they are.. then my charger showed the alternator as good. Now the issue is .. the gauge on the panel only shows about 10.. not the expected 13 volts. Could the gauge be bad? Car runs great.. no issues radio blaring and ac on.. thoughts?
It's an 88 IROC 5.7 -- thx

Re: Volt Gauge
Could be, or not. Go buy an inexpensive multi meter and find out for sure. Anyone that tinkers with anything remotely tied into electricity should have one.
Third gen Camaros have enough wires and sensors, etc. to keep you busy. You can get a meter for $10-$20 that covers all the basics...AC/DC volts, ohms/continuity, current measurement.
I have a few different meters, fairly expensive ones, but in a pinch I have used the very inexpensive ones and they worked fine for that stuff. The $10 Cen Tech from Walmart was way better at the time than the Fluke 87 that was 700 miles away when I needed it.
