Gauge's Out

I have a 1987 Camaro V8. The gauges are out along with the Tach being pinned straight up. The Tach will move with the rev of the engine but then go back to straight up. Speedometer works fine.

Dash lights are partialy out

The trunk motor does not work as well. It previously had.

I bought the car new in 1987, it was my first new car. I had it parked for the last five years and had a shop get it up and running again last week.

My only conclusion is there is a circuit or fuse that is bad. Am I right or going in the wrong direction.

the inst cluster ground has corroded, im guessing. its located on the steering column near the two nuts that hold the assy to the dash

Re: Gauge's Out

Thanks for the advice. When I get home I will take a look at that area. What would it involve, is it a big job or just the two screws and an access panel.

That has nothing to do with the instrument ground.

You will have to describe the problem.

Too slow?

Won’t always open? Close?

Happy Racing!
