No power locks or dome light?

I was removing the passenger side kick panel, under te dash, to see if there was a hole in the firewall that could be letting water pour in and pond on my passenger floorboard.

All I did was remove the kickpanel and inspect, and as soon as I got up to leave, no power locks or dome light etc. could I have bumped something under the dash to cause this? The only other thing I did was put the screws in the ashtray for storage and one rolled down into the cigarette lighter and I may have heard a slight "pop". Any ideas? The car still starts fine, just the accessory electronics don't work.

Thanks guys

The screw in the lighter is what screwed you. Replace the fuse and it will be fixed.

Either check your owner's manual (if you have one) as there is a fuse location diagram in it, or stick you head under the dash and look to see which one is blown. It will be the one with the burn mark on the glass or plastic.
Don't forget to take the screw out of the lighter socket before you replace the fuse.

There's a lighter socket in the ashtray?

My 84 has one right next to the Ashtray.

To the Original Poster, is the water "sticky" and does it sell kind of sweet? Water pooling on the passenger floorboard instantly makes me think your heater core went bad.

Re: No power locks or dome light?

1) It's a 20 amp fuse. Can't remember which one it is, but happened to me and took a 20.

2) Water in pass floorboard is heater core.

Yes, it’s the ACC fuse.
