Is this the starter relay bypass?

Still trying to figure out the wiring mess from the previous owner. Im pretty sure i have a vats issue because the starter won't engage. I tried putting the resistor in but it didn't do anything. I've read about bypassing the starter relay is that what this is?

Would appear your starter relay is gone

not with the relay bypassed
Need to go through the whole starter circuit from Ign switch to starter and see if you have power all the way through.
Your Ign switch may be faulty or out of adjustment .Your NSS or clutch switch may be faulty ( have no profile up so we don't know what we are dealing with ! )

Have you hotwired the starter to confirm it actually works?

It turns it over if i hotwire the starter the car is an 89 iroc camaro automatic. My fuel pump should be here tomorrow so id like to get it in then figure out this ignition issue so i can finally drive the car. I tried putting the wires back on the plug and putting the relay on so it was how it was supposed to be and the relay still didn't click or anything. Ill have to start checking for power then next? There could be something missing for all i know. When i bought the car everything was pulled apart and scattered around the car so ive been trying to figure out where all the plugs and things go from other people's underdash pictures

So until you confirm you have a complete circuit from the Ign switch to the starter and have power all the way ,playing around with the missing relay will achieve little
Installing it may add to your current problems
Just leave the 2 wires joined as they were

Was messing with it today and figured id check the N.S.S. because it was the only thing i hadn't checked and it was unplugged the key is working fine now. I just need to get my new fuel pump in to see if my injectors work and it should be running.
