Steering colum, what wire, turns/haz?
I know no picture right now but I think really simple.
I am trouble shooting turn lights etc. I replaced my column from a 88 to a 86 no vats.
Car starts fine headlights turn on hazards work.
Turn signals do come on. front park lamps were cut out including the harness. I spliced in new pigtails now they come on for dricing mode but will not blink. The stalk clicks left and right though. I played with the brown, blue wires and I was able to get power to the blinkers but solid. I think ground issue.
I measured voltage to the blue and purple wires under the column and they have power. I will measure power at the harness lamps themselves and see if blue go hi when I turn left and right. Could be simple as the flasher.
Oh and so far i do not have any green turn arrows.
Hi beams, I found when I pulled up on the switch under the column I turned off the his, but the switch seems super tight and has no spring or click to it. I assume it is bad or too tight. Unclear how to get off I do not see bolts.
SO hopefully a new hi beam switch, clean up grounds, replace flasher and my dash should be solved but I have fogs for my 8 iroc. The dash light illuminates but the harness and lights are stripped.
Under the column I have 2 unplugged harness. The one that got me going appears to have a orange sheath around 2 wires going up into the column by the ignition. it terminates into a 2 wire small plug that is cut. The other end has a purple/white and white wire on it cut off? What is this for? I checked diagrams but do not see it on anything.
I also see under the same area a larger connector with like 4 wires under it unplugged. It has orange wore to it. I will take pictures. Wonder if this is for my fog lights.
