88 Turns Fixed

I wanted to give back to this great forum to help others.

My car was sitting for 9 years. It ran but the hi beams were stuck on, the turns didnt work or blink and no green arrows.

The front turns were cut out and so were the fogs.

After much trouble shooting I found the simple things were the problem plus being very flexible.

So for the turns, I went to a salvage yard and found 2 pigtails that I wired into the brown, blue black leads.

My Turn BU and ACC fuses were missing

Then I replaced my tail flash. This took forever to find. It was above the convience center. You had to flip the board down, lay on your back and look up over a metal frame member. It was clipped to the frame and had a dark blue and purple wire connected to it. You have to remove by sticking your hand up there and pull it. It was a knuckle scraper.

Then that solved my blinkers for the right side. But the left was still bad. I found the rear tail was burned out.

So tomorrow I will solder and seal the front turns, replace the bulbs, and button up.

While I had the gauge out, I replaced the bulbs with the LED and wired up a 200ohm resistor to the 4-10 pins for the tach. I will test that out tomorrow too.

I am thinking my green lights arrows will now work since I can hear the flasher blinking now.

(I will post another thread: but while I was doing this I pulled back the whole dash and removed the heater core. I will replace tomorrow But I willnot hook hoses up yet)
