Hey Guys I need some ideas the other day I was drving and I hit a bump my vats light came on and I lost power for a sec then continued down the road well it's starting to be come more frequent I have the vats by passed kinds I have the normal vats lock cylinder and new key correct resistance in its own areas under the dash the key never gets pulled out so it's still new from when I bought it I'm thinking I may have a lost nut on the starter or the fuseable links junction by the battery I have not started looking yet but I want some of your ideas I rebulit the motor about 2 months ago so I'm thinking something got loose again the symptoms are security light comes on for a few and the car loses power and then gain it back and the light goes off it mostly does it on light bumps I don't have a wiring digram for it at the moment if someone had access to all data and could send me one it's an 89 firebird 5.0tbi

It's already bypassed I think I found what's wrong the power wire at the starter was lose so I gotta tighten it up

Alright after clad I put my car on the lift and I did not have a nut on the starter for the fuseable links so I put one on and the light never came back on so that's a useful tip for someone that ever has that prob thnx for the replys guys

The light came on because you lost power , nothing to do with VATS itself
