Ignition lock won't stay in the radio position
Ignition lock won't stay in the radio position
The car is an 89 camaro rs. when I turn the key backwards into the radio position to turn the radio on it will just pop back into the off position. the radio comes on and will stay on as long as im holding the key back. I don't like leaving the everything powered up when the the car is not running if I want to listen to the radio. The car runs and starts fine and the lock works like it should other than that. I was wondering if anybody knew about something I could to do fix it other than replacing the entire thing? It would be worth it if it weren't for the vats. It kind of feels like that push down key lever thing on the column might have something to do with it because you can see it move a little when turning it but I'm not sure.
