small cap EFI distributor coil question

Im putting in a tach and I was wondering which wire is ground, and ignition 12v. What wire is best for dash lights. Car 87 tpi car.

On the tacho or the car?

Car ground can be any metal under the dash,
12V supply you pickup from the key on hot ( so tacho on only when the Ign on ) from the Ign switch so prob at the fuse block
