Wiper control question

well crud. I put on a new steering column yesterday (My wife asked if I could add tilt for her) and the column works fine, but as I was installing it, I noticed that the wiper control only had 4 wires. Mine has 5, but the connectors worked, so I went ahead with the install and I figured I would eventually figure out what the missing wire was. It was part of the wiper control. I have low or high speed for the wipers, and the only way to get them to move is by pushing the spray button, but now they won't park at all. They stay in the same position as whenever I release the spray button. I'm wondering if I need a different switch, or maybe a wiper motor control from a 86 or earlier (the age of the column)

I'm not sure, but can you swap them out?

Re: Wiper control question

I'm trying to find a picture of a switch from 84 (I think that's the age of the column) that's for a tilt wheel, without cruise, and no wiper delay. that's a hard find.

Not sure what to do at this point, other than put the old column back in

Re: Wiper control question

the lever isn't the problem. It's the switch, which is the wires within the steering column
