MR. AMP Alternators

Is anyone running a MR AMP Performance Distributors alternator or have any feedback or opinions on them. I am contemplating pruchasing a MR-150-1 which is 150 amps and the kit they send has larger guage wires etc to run this higher output over the factory alternator.
Built 350 in a 3rd Gen no computer control except trans lock up.

Thanks in advance,
Roy

Re: MR. AMP Alternators

Ordered Mr AMP 150amp alternator today. I'll post when it's in and let everyone know if it's worth the cost.
Thanks

Performance Distributors, DUI Davis Unified Ignition, is who makes them. LUK how it works out.

Re: MR. AMP Alternators

I just finished installing and testing a MR AMP 150amp Alternator from Performance Distributors. To Seiplentz this purchase was worth every penny. I put this in my '91 RS which I eliminated the V6 and am running a 400/420 4 bolt I assembled with a carb and DUI distributor. I have a MARCH pulley system with AC. I believe my previous DIST was 84amps and I had 14 V untill I loaded the alt with fog/driving lights, head lights, ac fan, blinkers and stereo pulled output to 9v at idle. I'm now at 14.3 across the bat terminals at idle rpm with no load and 13.9v fully loaded with everything "on". Like I said , worth every penny, I am very pleased with these results and my head lights are brighter. I will try and download the pics and explination of the install shortly.
