ERRATIC BLOWER AND VATS ISSUES

91 Camaro RS with stock 305. The car has had all new sensors, relays, pumps and fuses installed (good ones). Other than that it is completely stock. We have not modified anything and we are the second owner of a car that only has 52,000 miles on it. Very lucky, I know! The problem we have is this.

1. We did the VATS bypass by wiring in the correct resistors. Fixed the problem of it not starting on occasion, until recently. Now a couple times a week it just won't start due to a VATS issue. We wait the allotted 4 minutes and then it starts up. Any ideas?

2. The fan blower switch on the heater/ AC unit in the car works one minute and then not the next. Does not matter the speed that you set it to. Replaced both the relay and fuses. Still acting up. Other than that the car is a great first car for my son. We have learned a ton from it and especially with the help you guys. Hoping you come through again.

One last thing, if anyone is in the Pittsburgh area and is very good at fine tuning this engine we would love to learn from you.

When the VATS problem occurs , pull the codes and see if the VATS code is present.
That will at least tell you if it is key read/ module problem or a physical problem like the enable relay

Using a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe the orange wire at the blower relay.

Is there power present when the key is in the RUN position, the HVAC control is in the HEATER position & the blower switch is set at HI?

Happy Racing !
