Driver Side Harness?? 92 Camaro??

I was told that anything 90 and above just have the ECM harness and everything is all in one. But my car still has the driver side c207 connector and harness. I'm swapping from TBI to carb and don't need the ECM. Now i'm just flustered on what harness i need to get to run all my interior and headlights etc. Also with a T5 tranny??... any info is much appreciated!

I've been reading, and seems maybe a V6 model camaro would work in my situation? Not sure...

From my experience with swapping my 92 from a V6 to a carb:

You need to keep the ECM so your speedo and odometer work

The drivers side connector in the engine bay contains all your front lights wiring in one half, and the wiring for your gauges, wipers, fuel pump, and cooling fans in the other. There are also some power wires and the starter wires in that same half you'll need to keep.

Most of the ECM wiring comes into the engine bay from the passenger side, and can be removed.

Be careful what you remove as your AC wiring, blower motor wiring, speedo, reverse lights, and some power wires are also in that harness.

Your cruise control won't work

You'll need to install a switch in one of the heads to turn your radiator fan on.

Do a search for 3rd gen harness prep in the ls1 forum. That thread covers cutting down a stock harness to power and gauges, which is all a carb engine needs

You do not need the stock ECM to keep your gauges working

Tach is ran directly from the distributor
Coolant and oil are analog senders
Alt and fuel are independent of the engine harness
Speedo is unique for 90-92 cars. V6 and TPI cars need to have a buffer box added
TBI cars already have a buffer box, so leave the VSS wires alone and the speedo will work fine
89 and older cars all have a buffer box, so no worries

The only engine control system related to cruise is speed signal, which is part of the buffer box for TBI cars. V6/TPI cars need the 2000ppm wire ran from buffer box to cruise module

Connect the dk grn/wht wire from the fuel pump relay to 12v ign. Your TBI car will already have a low pressure pump installed, so if it works leave it alone

Scavenge the thermal switch from the pass cyl head for the fan relay

TBI Ac system is independent of the engine control, so just separate it when cutting down the engine harness

Damn, ya thats alot i was worried about. I had a friend just cut pretty much every wire off the passenger side besides two wires ( don't remember what colors they were) probably red and black. I'm going to analog tach and speedometer so that should be ok. Just worried about the power and wiring the distributor.
