done a v8 swap into a v6.donar car 84 fire bird recipent 85 camaro sport coupe.The oil pressure gauge is a no work and the bird had a tac i'd like to have work.I dont want aftermarket stuff.will the 84 f/b harness work in my 85 s/c and find a v8 camaro cluster?

 

You should be able to swap just the tachometers which includes the oil gauge. Then if the oil pressure sensor still doesn't work you'll need to get a sensor for the new gauge. (Ie. Camaro of that year specific for a gauge and not an idiot light.)

I still have the conpleat dash with gauges out of the base firebird.of course they are made differently.I was wondering if the pig tails and pin outs on the bird harness and s/c are made the same.I know the conector coming from the engine to the dash harness had more wires.figure one was the tach.that being said I can do without that.I will see if I can change out just the oil gauge.If not I might as well just pick up a set that has what I need.the one in the bird dash was with this motor so its the right type.
