Re: Install Power Mirrors On 84 Trans Am
To install power mirrors you'd need the L&R Power mirrors, and the CORRECT Power Mirror harness.
Be advised,.... Power mirrors have at least 2 different plugs and at least 2 different length harnesses. Make sure that the mirrors and harness you get use the same type of plug. ( I think 82-84 used the WHITE plug and 85+ used the black plug ??) As long as all parts are matching,... they will fit into any year car.

The Harness for cars with the mirror controler on the driver door used a shorter harness,... cars with the mirror control on the center console requires a longer harness.
The stock Mirror harness is mounted along with the Power Window and Power Lock harness. ( under/behind dash pad/housing, along the top of the firewall. ) In 84 the power connection simply plugs into the power 'Distribution block' that all the other optional equipment gets plugged into. ( behinfd the drivers kick panel. )
Hope this helps in some way !
