Intermittent power window problem

Intermittent power window problem
The drivers side window on my 88 IROC works fine ... most of the time.
Often, though, it will not roll up. If I lightly press the up switch,
it will usually work.
Obvious switch problem?

Re: Intermittent power window problem
Replace the switches with billet aluminum ones.
The left and right are the same part number so you could switch switches (sides) and see if the problem moves.

Re: Intermittent power window problem
The power window motors are notorious for working intermittently, then stop working all together.
In 29 years of owning my '83 Z-28, I have replaced a window motor on the avgerage of every 5 years. The heat in Phoenix eats them up. The same thing happens to all of my Third Gen friends in the Phoenix area.
I have replaced both of my window switches, not because they didn't work, but to keep the interior looking like new.
Good luck.
