I am wondering if there is a way to turn on the fog lights without the headlights on? if not is there a way to allow that to happen? I have an 88 Camaro iroc-z

Re: fog light question

Yes. Simply rewire the lights so that they aren't tied into the headlights (as they currently are).

Yes, if you disconnect all the wiring that goes TO the switch and replace it with a simple relay set up (not wired into the headlights) you can make it so that you can turn your lights on whenever the key is turned (whether the engine is running or not).

There's probably also a way to bypass the connection to the headlight switch in the current set up.

I'm not familiar with how the fog lights are wired in on these cars (mine does not have them). However I have installed off-road lights on many vehicles and the principles are the same.
