Starter enable relay....NEED HELP
1991 RS 305 tbi. Car will not start. Bypassed the starter enable relay (jumped the two thick wires) and the car will crank with the key but will not start. I bought a new relay and get nothing. What to look at next? Thanks

Sounds like you possibly need to either fix or disable/bypass your VATS system. Did you have injector pulse when you bypassed the relay? VATS shuts down injector pulse and starter operation.

Re: Starter enable relay....NEED HELP
Just jumping and un jumping the starter enable relay will tell you if its VATS.
Jump it and it has cranks.
Un jump it using the relay and it does not crank.
= VATS is active and trying/is shutting you down.
There used to be a member here that could burn you a new EPROM but that's does not seem available at this time.
Start with a simple key bypass using resisters with the wires under the dash/column.
