The wires that hook to the big post on the starter.Bolt and nut them together.Wrap so they don't touch metal.You are set!
Done that myself before at times to make sure the electrical worked on a car before I bought it.

here if this makes it any better for you, my motor is at the shop being built installed a new stereo and want to make sure it works and all the speakers do. sorry if thats to much information for you to understand. never understand why people get on peoples post and bash them? like really what are 1/2 the people on this site? children at the most it seems like to me. but IROC-Turbo thanks i thought something with the starter wires might be the problem.

But yeah its handy to be able to do that to roll windows up and down,pop hatch,etc...
But while doing body work I've been known to hook it up like that and jam down while working.It's handy troubleshooting info.
