Funny , when I read your description and you mentioned the new headlight switch , I thought "well , there goes the easy answer" ...

Now , tell me , has this car recently had any kinds of radio work done , specifically maybe an install that involved the radio wires ? Cause a short between the radio's instrument light feed and the radio's clock/stations memory feed would most certainly have the instrument lights on all the time as it would be being backfed from the always hot memory power lead ..

If not , try unplugging fuses till the lights go out , and trace the crossed wires that way ?

Yes the car has an aftermarket radio. But when i disconnect the 20amp fuse for the interior lights the guage lights go off. I'm hoping it's not anything major

Good call,....

patrickz1985tgc - I'd take that advise & revisit the radio wiring just to be sure it's was wired properly.
