My car was broken into
My 1999 Civic. I leave it unlocked because there's nothing really to steal.... or so I thought. I could tell because both glove boxes were open. They took some pens and my electric razor that I use to shave in the morning. I guess they can use it for a few days until it looses its charge.
This is not the first time and it's my fault for leaving it unlocked, but today, I've been dreaming up ways to catch them in the act next time.
It would be really cool if I could wire the stereo in such a way that removing it grounds-out a relay that permanently locks the doors. I would have to disable the unlocking mechanisms from the inside. I would leave them in there for days, or maybe call the police. The problem is, I assume they leave the door open when they're going through it. Or maybe I could wire it to set-off the airbags.... but I might get sued for that.
Anyhow, could be youtube worthy.

If you think locked doors would stop a thief you are sadly mistaken. You would only come out to a car with broken windows. Also correct me of I am wrong... But this is a form for 3rd gen Camaros and Firebirds. What revelance does this topic have to do with that?

I'm sorry for breaking the rules. I guess I could imagine doing it on my T/A instead if that makes it all better. The Honda, on the other hand, is my disposable throw-away car that I paid $700 for. It would be so worth it.

Hey it's no problem I am no one of authority. But as for trying to lock in a would be theif is a failed effort since once they figure they can't use the door they will simply kick out your window.

Anything that you knowingly do to injur someone that's not directly threatening your person is going to get you in trouble. That said, if I could rig up some sort of Taser defense, I'd probably do it. lol
