fusible link problem!

Hello all! Working on a 92 RS 305 and I replaced my fusible link J because the old one was blown and the previous owner rigged it somehow, below is a picture of my replacement, the fuse keeps blowing tho and I'm wondering if my 30A fuse is too small and or if my link is too small? I'm not quite sure but if the wire and or fuse is fine does that mean I should just nab a circuit breaker and find a short? Please help and thanks!
