dizzy wireing?

Im wanting to put a 87 t/a 350tpi into a 85 z28 that had a 305tpi stock.no engine when I bought it,but wires in good shape. one of the bigest things I see different is the type of distributer that the 2 years had is totaly different. can I make changes on the stock harness or can I install an older type dizzy into the l98 engine with no issues?

Re: dizzy wireing?

U can use the big cap dizzy in the l98 just make sure it was from a roller cam motor so it has the correct gear.

Re: dizzy wireing?

I dont have one of the bigger type. But I checked austinthirdgen wire diagrams and the 85,86,and 87 are all pinned the same.Actualy this motor may have been changed over. motor parts has a small one listed as being a fit for it.I just gota splice the connectors into the 85 harness.I dont see why it wouldnt work
