Any input, 91 RS 305 TBI been in the process of restoring this for A Year and a half ;
Gets up to operating temp Service light comes on and it is not as responsive as normal, and rough at low speeds and temp climbs about 20 degrees,


Also idle takes too long to drop down to normal, also have a slight smell of raw gas???


Have replaced gas cap, fuel pump,fuel filter, distributer, wires, Coil, Rad , water pump amongst many other parts but these are relative to the problem at hand.


Comp does not want to talk to anybody so forget that.
I have a feeling it's related to the injectors?? Any body have a similar issue??

 

What code is the SES light setting?

 

No Idea, had my neighbor do it just told me couldn't get anything. Didn't think to ask seems this is a problem I found on these before! I have often not even bothered with the Comp because this is always an issue I have had on my other Camaro's third gen that is?

 

I'd be seriously doubting the proper working order of the computer if you can't even get the blink codes out of it. You have tried jumping the A and B terminals of the ALDL connector with the key off and turning it to the run position right? It should then blink the codes out on the SES light.

Does it take very long after starting it for the symptom to appear? If it doesn't it could be related to when it tries to go into closed loop mode, but without knowing the code it'd be hard to say.

 

Give it a shot tomorrow, symptoms occur once it has run for a while?
