Re: Engine bay wiring

What engine did you start with and what engine do you have now?
What gauges are you running?
Do you have a meter and know how to use it?

Re: Engine bay wiring

I'm going to be honest with you .........

You've really only got two options here . Make friends with someone who knows automotive electrical , or learn how to do it yourself . There are likely 50 to 75 (give or take a few) wires running between the engine compartment and the dash / rest of the car (fuel pump & such) and it would be just about impossible to go wire by wire in forum posts as to what stays & what goes . If you understand electric circuits at their basic level well then now you just need to decide what your engine and rest of your car needs , connection wise , to run . Start with circuits like establishing the key on power for the distributor , then establish the starter solenoid to start wire from the ignition switch , and so on . Once you've met the engine's wiring requirements it'll run .

PS If you have not yet found it in a search , the site austinthirdgen.org has all of our car's wiring diagrams which would be a great starting point for this .....

Re: Engine bay wiring

Thinking about cutting all wires coming from the passenger side fender coming from the PCM. Was a v6 now 383 carbed. Running auto meter tach and all factory gauges
