No power at and fuses for headlights

Edit:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/electronics/204059-camaro-headlight-problem-wont.html

This guy is having same problem as I.

Would it be safe to run a new wire from the battery to the switch, if there is not power at switch?.

Would it be advisable to add a in line fuse ?

87 v6 FI 5speed car converted to V8 carb 5speed car.

Every other fuse has power but the row with the head/tail lights fuse, no idea what's going on not sure how to fix.

Will take pictures when I'm home from work.

Any chance of testing the fusible links down by the starter? Betting one is bad.

Re: No power at and fuses for headlights

Pulled the engine harness, checked every wire, crap junk yard harness but from whatnot could tell all the wires that were there getting power was making it to the plug.

Could I have the wrong year harness, or one from a firebird ?

I got to the headlight switch what a pain.

It's getting no power at the switch, jumped power to switch from battery and lights started working....

I could really use some help guys.

Make sure you are getting power (12v) on both sides of the links at the starter.

Re: No power at and fuses for headlights

As I said above every wire getting power is making it to the fire wall plug.

Either I'm missing a wire or something.

What wire powers the lights.

Where on the plug to the fire wall is the power going to the switch.

Re: No power at and fuses for headlights

Did you check the fusible links with a multi meter?

C100 G5- check for 12v
