Sideways slotted Packard 56 series housing?

I can't find this thing anywhere. I don't want a pigtail. All I need is the housing. I don't want one from a junk yard. Trying to find out any information about such small but really simple details about these older cars is really starting to **** me off. I may just solder a wire onto this temperature sender and buy the male and female 56 series connectors and terminals.

This is a page I found doing a google image search. Maybe it's a good place for the terminals.

Re: Sideways slotted Packard 56 series housing?

I don't need the terminals. They're a dime-a-dozen. I need the housing that has the slot that accepts those "nail head" type of connectors, like what the senders for the coolant temperature gauges have. I don't want a pigtail. They're easy to find. I don't believe in buying something and throwing away two thirds of it. Plus, I don't like solder splice lumps. I would tear apart a car to replace a single wire from start to finish and crimp on new terminals before I soldered on a pig tail and had a nice lump plus heat shrink.

All I need is that housing.

There is tons of Delphi still on Mouser, but Delphi doesn't provide datasheets for half of the stuff they make, so even if it's available, there's no way of telling what the heck half of their products even are.

I finally found it. Delphi 12015306. Available only one place in single quantities... terminalsandconnectors.com. I could get it from other places with a minimum order of 2,500 units. Unless I could organize a group buy that large, that wouldn't make much sense.

I removed the housing and used it on the broken piece. Perfect fit, no cutting, soldering, etc.

Re: Sideways slotted Packard 56 series housing?

I already stated that I don't want to do that. It's wasteful, and I doubt the housing is an actual Delphi one.

I already said that I found it, in the post before your initial post, so I don't know why you're acting all offended...

www.terminalsandconnectors.com wants 31-cents each for the housing with a $15 minimum order. What are you going to do with the remaining 48 pieces?

I suppose you can add a few relays or something to your order.

Re: Sideways slotted Packard 56 series housing?

Maybe I'll just order the 2,500 from Mouser and sell off the rest.
