1988 firebird 5.0 5 speed tbi wiper motor melted

So this is a new project Car of mine it's far from perfect. Couple electrical issues. The wiper motor I guess in the past caught on fire. Melted it and I can't find the connector or any of the wires that were originally supposed to go to it. I am going to post pics when I get home from work tonight. It's just the strangest thing. And I went to hook up the snap on brick scanner to it. And it wouldn't even get a signal or power up when I plugged it in. So I Couldn't scan it. I'm kind of scared. Lol I have a feeling I purchased a electrical nightmare. And the pop up headlights will randomly make the noise when not even touching the headlight switch. Any ideas anyone? I will post pics the second I get home. Of some of the wiring this last owner did. I have a feeling I'm going to have to purchase a new entire wiring harness.

Ok here's a couple pictures. And if anyone can identify what they wired all that stuff to on the side of the battery I have no clue. I cannot find the wires that would go to the windsheild wiper motor. A very important component.
