Turn signal Problem

I have a problem with my turn signals on my 84 Z28. My right turn signal works when it wants to. I have never had a problem with the left turn signal, just the right one. It only seems to do it when:
A)It is cold outside
B)It is raining
C)Both
Otherwise the Right turn signal works fine. When I click it on, I don't even get the green light on the dash. So I don't think it would be a burned out light, would it?

It sounds like just an intermittent short. A wire somewhere (possibly outside the cabin) is shorting out occasionaly, and when it rains the water helps conduct the electricty to a ground. Best plan of action is to look through all the wires conneceted to the right hand blinker system, and see if you can find any wires where the casing has been worn away or something. Electrical problems are always a headache when it comes down to the wire.

This is strange 'cus a little moisture shouldn't have a big effect on a 12 volt power circuit. Signal curcuit mabye but not power. I'd be leaning toward the turn signal switch. Wires are also a good place to search but like joker said, they can be a bugger to find.

I agree with Sarge. I had the same problem with my left blinkers a few years ago. Replaced the switch, which was a PITA by the way, been working fine ever since.
