What the heck is this? It's located in the center console behind the radio. Has a cap on it. Open the cap and it appears to be a removable resistor chip board or something
Oh I hear you. Im 34, and have been done with that scene for a few years now. Waste of time and money. I still have friends who go out all the time tho.
Back to the part, Have you looked in the book for it? Do all the splices/wires look factory?
Nightrider has a lot of knowledge about these cars. Maybe he would know?
It is lazy Sunday today, last day before I go back to school, so I will spend a little time looking around.
You are the man! Someone else in that thread saw it in the photo and asked what it was but the OP didnt have a clue either...lol Someone else recognized it though and says it is the courtesy light delay module. Good find! I should have done the obvious thing and just slid the resistor board out of it and see what quits working...lol I will update this thread when i do that in case someone looks for this part in the future. I can tell you this though, it will probably be a junkyard part. I searched high and low for every relay, resistor, and switch available for our cars in auto parts stores online and came up with ZILCH!

The ECM uses this module to control the Check Engine Light in Carbureted cars. There are a couple threads here in the electronics forum that describe it.
