Lighting messed up.

Engine: 305 5.0L
Transmission: Auto, 5 speed
Lighting messed up.
I have been searching a while now and can't figure my situation out. When my headlights are on, the amber lights (they blink with the blinker on) won't come on. They only work when I use my blinkers. I pull the headlight switch to parking lights, and the only lights that come on are my running tail lights. All the wiring seems to be in tact, I don't see any splits under the dash or anything. Car is an 84 v6 5speed. Any ideas? ?

And the blinker lights stay on with the headlights in park mode, and headlights on. They just aren't on outside the car.

Do the Dash Illumination Lights work when you pull the Headlight Switch?
If yes, check the 2-filament bulbs to make sure they are the correct type, and installed correctly.
A common mistake is people installing 2-filament bulbs 180° rotated.
Some crazy symptoms have been reported doing that.
Check all 4 bulbs separately with an ohmmeter or power source to make sure they are good.

If Your Engine Blows Up Over The Finish Line It Was Built Perfectly

My guess is bad bulbs or Aftermarket wiring/splices.
Like Nina said; check all 4 of the blinkers ( 2 front and 2 back ),... but also be sure to check the Fenders' front corner "MARKER" lights too !
