Battery slowly dies

I got a rebuilt alternator just about a week ago because my old one was dying on my (pulsating lights) once I changed it everything was perfect. Just last night though I noticed my battery was dying while I was driving. My first assumption was I had a bad battery that didn't want to hold a charge so I went and bought a new one and nope had a full charge but is slowly dying still. I also noticed my fan won kick on even of I turn my a.c. on while reminded me that my car was heating up at red lights. I did a volt test and I'm getting no reading from my alternator. Maybe I'm doing it wrong I don't know but I'm stressed out I checked some fuses and my terminals are tight. From my understanding the brown wire is directly connected to my fan? I just bought this firebird a few weeks ago with ok not 27k miles on it and I really want to get a little more driving time before the winter..

Because you got no reading at the Alt it sounds like a wire has become disconnected.

The heavier
red wire goes from a Fusible Link, to the positive stud, and should have power at all times.

The
thinner red wire goes from a different Fusible Link, to terminal S (the sensing circuit) and should have power at all times.

The
brown wire goes to terminal F (the turn-on input) from the FAN fuse, and should have power when the key is in the RUN position.

Happy Racing !
