Middle three gauges dont work!

I have an 87 camaro lt and three middle gauges don't work(battery, temp, and oil). They light up when I start the car but do nothing after that beside shut off. Fuel gauge and speedometer work fine. Not sure what the problem is, I've checked fuses and they're fine. It's like they try to work, but then shut off. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks

I had the same issue, I removed the cluster put it back and it worked. Need to find what
wires behind the cluster feeds them or maybe bad ground.

three middle gauges don't work(battery, temp, and FUEL).
Pretty sure you meant this !!!!

Any ideas what it could be? Thanks
Bad printed circuit on the cluster maybe ??

With the key turned to RUN :

If you pull the wire ( green wire ) from the temp sending unit on the front of the drivers side head and "jump" it with a ground wire the temp gauge should spike to the top of the scale.

If you disconnect the fuel gauge wiring, the needle should jump to the top of the scale. ( can be disconnected from under the carpet / behind the rear seat backrest. )

If you try these things and the needles do not move,..... I'd pull the cluster and inspect the printed circuit on the back to see if it's damaged, melted, or separating. I'd also take Black_TA's advise and check the cluster wiring and plugs too while it's accessible.

Re: Middle three gauges dont work!

I have the speedometer on the left and fuel gauge on the right. Those two have needles and work fine. Then there is the three in the middle(oil, temp, and battery). I was able to keep one lit up earlier but the other two just shut off. They light up red and don't have needles so I'm not really sure how to go about fixing them. Ill post a picture here in a moment to show what I'm talking about.

Then you don't have gauges,... you have Idiot Lights.

P.S. Your car is not a 87 LT it is an 87 Sports Coupe. ( There is a difference. )

Re: Middle three gauges dont work!

I noticed that, then I would change the bulbs they are in little sockets behind the cluster.
Maybe bad circuit board, Sometimes the bulb sockets fall out. They are the small 194.
I changed all mine to LED.
