Engine: 5.0L V8 305
Transmission: Auto
89 Bird tail fuse keeps blowin
My headlights were stuck in the up position and my tailights/dash lights were not working so i checked the fusebox and turned up a bad TAIL fuse. plugged a new fuse in and my headlights went down like expected. turned my lights on and my headlights went up and my fuse blew. back to square one. any suggestions, questions, comments, or experience would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

could be anything but I'd start by having a Look at the wires going to the headlights.
