Help with alarm please!

I have been noticing lately that my Code Alarm isn't as touchy as it used to be. In fact before, I just had to bump the car and it would chirp, now I have to unlock the door to engage the alarm. It has the trunk, lock/unlock, and flashing light features. How do I fix the sensitivity on this? Is this something that I have to have done professionaly? Thanks.

There should be a shock sensor under the dash somewhere. It is a small black box and has an adjusting ****/screw on it.Clockwise is more sensitive.Counter-clockwise is less sensitive.

Thanks, I have a red **** and the switch to turn my alarm on or off under my dash. Do I have to take that part of the dash off to find this box? Thanks.

If it is under the dash, you have to take apart whatever is in the way to make the sensor accessible for you to adjust it.The most common place is under the dr. dash, but it could be elsewhere, like under the pass side dash,in a kick panel, etc.
