Hello,
I have a 91 RS with a 305 TBI. It will crank, turn over, but then shut off. I have been told that it is due to the security system *VATS* My dad is done wiht it.. wants to junk it, but it has 100k miles no rust and i dont wnat to see it meet that fate. If anyone can help. please. i thin it is just the secutity system and that it shoudl be bypassed.

If its VATs you can by pass it with resistors. There are write up on this site regarding how to do it. Don't junk it, hate seeing third gens die, Camaro or Firebird.

Stall Tactics
Your problem should have nothing to do with the security system.
Scan for codes.
One or more of the sensors might be so out of range the engine stalls after the initial start.
