Hey
I got a 88 camaro sports coupe 5.0L
problem is sometimes when I drive usally on the highway or to the stix my "check engine" light comes on. Now if im driving in the city or town this dosent happen!.. Im not sure why it comes on. It could be becasue of the "new" transmission that the car has in it (apprently).. but anyways thast the only thing I can think of.
Any ideas?

It could be your egr valve or youre running rich or lean.Do you have a code tester or a paper clip handy?IF you dont have a tester then do a search in the tech artlicles for the paper clip trick.To check the codes.
