Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 4L60
Axle/Gears: 3.73
Aftermarket wiring question
Hooked up multi colored gauges. Works perfectly...except they go back to blue (default color)
So if I select say yellow. Turn the car off. then turn the key to "aux" they are still yellow, but when cranking the car to start, they go back to default blue.
The company said the power wire needs to installed on a constant power source...what would "lose power" just at cranking.....thoughts?

You need an “always hot” line.
Such a line can be found at the fuse block accessory fuse.
Connect the memory wire to the output side of that fuse.
You can use the terminal labeled “bat”.
That and all similar lines will go lower in voltage when the engine is cranked.
Hopefully the memory circuit is not to sensitive, but if it is we can draw or describe a circuit which stays at 12 volts while the engine is being cranked.
