88 GTA Vats Bypass

I've done a lot of searches and have read extensively on this, but am still having issues. I boughts the Bakers Electronix DFVATS Bypass Module which has the standard signal out as well as the 30Hz signal out seeing as I wasnt sure which I needed. I am unclear as where to install this module, does anyone have any insight on this? Also do I still need to do that starter relay bypass with this module? If so, I'm having problems there as well. I looked behind the panel on the drivers side as well as up and around the fuse box, I can not find it anywhere. The car is a 1988 GTA 5.7L TPI Automatic. Also has the digital dash if that makes any difference.

The starter enable relay needs to be bypassed. The module can be mounted bye the ecm.
Pin b6 of the ecm dark blue wire is vats hz input.

Re: 88 GTA Vats Bypass

So the starter enable relay may be on the passengers side?

I have allways seen the relay on the drivers side under the kick panel.
Sometimes under a piece of tar tape.
Or tucked up in the loom bye the fuse box last post pic.

Re: 88 GTA Vats Bypass

Found it and did the starter relay bypass. Had to removed what ended up being a grocery back full of wires that did not belong nor was very professional looking. The relay was tucked way the hell up in the dash.
