Secondary Flasher Relay Hackery
In my 85 Trans Am, it appears someone installed a second flasher relay (no idea why). It is located just behind the battery, dangling there, with 3 wires attached that are all cut near the distributor. The red wire goes to the battery, the orange to the flasher relay, and the black to ground. Leaving the flasher relay, there is a brown wire entering the harness for the lights. My turn signals and hazards do not work. I want to confirm this is not stock, what it could have possibly been installed for, and is that brown wire supposed to be hooked up to anything else?

That relay was put there to do the "confirmation flashes" of the parking lights (brown wire = parking lights) when the aftermarket alarm or remote starter it was connected to told them to . Typically when arming an aftermarket alarm or activating a remote start , the unit will flash the lights a number of times to show "alarm set" or "engine remote start" mode is activated .
Remove every bit of it and put the wiring back to as close to factory configuration as you can get it , then troubleshoot any electrical gremlins ...

I was thinking the same thing. I've got a box in the garage... Double walled, held 6 gallon jugs of drinking water originally. Now it's home to surplus wiring. It's filled to the top, and overflowing. Things like old alarm sirens, car phone parts, LED lights, Walmart stereo speaker grills, etc go right in the trash, but sometimes the wiring comes in handy for projects.
Current project car had not one, but two holes for the CB aerial. Dude drilled the first hole in the top of the 1/4 panel, then must have figured out the spoiler would be in the way when the hatch was closed. The second hole was backed up with duct tape, a piece of Marlboro foil, and filled with Bondo.
