VATS System Malfunction?
How's it going everyone, new member here. I've had my 89 RS 2.8/T5 for about 6 months now and absolutely love it. In the process of getting ready for my L31 5.7 Vortec swap and am really close. So I'm curious if anyone has encountered this issue before. So my camaro has the vats system and have had a problem not starting once or twice and the security light on. Most of the time after a drive when I start the car again the security light would stay on and came across the known resistor harness that sometimes breaks which causes starting issues so I bought a removable vats bypass resistor and before I tested it I tried to start the car without the plug connected and the car starts without the resistor and have left it unplugged for a few days now. Car runs fine, no security light, no crank problems, no codes or anything. Just curious if anyone has heard of this?
