3 prong to 2 prong headlight adapter for LED headlights...???

I apologize in advance if this has been covered... I bought 4 LED headlamps. All are three prong. My 1989 IROC has 2 prong and 3 prong headlight cannon plugs. Two of the of the lights have blue stickers- obviously for hi beams. So do I need adapters? I could use a thorough tutorial. Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike ,

I promise you , if the wiring in your IROC is 100% factory , you do not have "cannon plugs" connecting your headlights . I will enclose a photo of an actual cannon plug , and will ask you to post up two photos yourself , one of the plugs on the backs of your car's original headlights and one of the new LED headlights connections , before any suggestions are offered .....

Most likely the headlights you purchased have a low/driving mode and a bright mode. You can grond them and connect either the low or high mode and have that be it's sole function or you can wire them as a piggy back from the other light that uses both high and low functions. Make sense?

And while you're rooting around there I would suggest purchasing a harness that uses relays that are wired straight from the battery. It can greatly reduce voltage drop and can make the headlights brighter though how much will depend on many factors.
