need help wiring new distibuter in...

I'm swapping over to an LT1 intake, and it requires the smaller distibuter with external coil from later model thirdgens for clearance.

I thought I had it wired up right but still no crank.
I noticed when I turn the distibuter to alter the timing , the speed it turns over doesn't change. (while I'm trying to start it) So I know that isn't right.

It is firing b/c it shows on the timing light.
I know it's set in right.

I'm not sure on the first two wires on the ignition module(A,B), and the wires on the iginition coil.

Does any body know a good wiring diagram for this setup? The Haynes manual just puts both distibuters together in one drawing.

I don't know it this is any use to you but here's a diagram I made from the Haynes manual for a TPI 5.0/5.7

thanks

appreciate it,
I'm pretty sure that I got wired right now. I'm thinking I got a bum distributer.

When I turn the distributer to advance or retard the timing, it stay the same.

Would the the ditributer cause that or has anybody ever even heard of that?

you probably dont have a bad distributor you might have a bad module or pick up coil. The reason the timing didnt change is because you probably didnt disconnect the brown or tan i forget which wire by the blower motor. This takes the computer out of the equation when doing base timing which you probably were trying to do. If you do not have that wire unpluged the computer will keep the timing the same no matter how much you turn the distributor. Rebuild the distributor but before you do that take it out and spin it you should feel 8 magnetic fields when you spin it slowly if you dont then replace the distributor shaft Personally since the distributor is coming out I would just rebuild it I did to my and its not that expensive.
