1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula Turn Signals Do Not Flash

Hello,

I have a 1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula 5.7L and when I turn on my turn signal to use either my left or right blinker they do not flash on my dash board nor does it flash outside the car. My high beam works, windshield washer works, wipers work, and my hazards work as well. I don't think I burnt a bulb either because my hazards all around the car work fine. Could someone please help me figure this out? Also, if anyone will be suggesting the flash could they also explain to be why and where I could find it under the dash, a picture of the flasher would be great too, that goes for the relay, if there is one. I'm eager to drive my car its been months lol!

Thank you

Its a big bell like thing in the convenience center. The Convenience center is located above your right foot next to the transmission tunnel.

Fusebox is on the left side of the driver footwell, above the Hood release.

Convenience center is on the opposite side of the drivers footwell.

In 91, the turn signal flasher is the silver can clipped to the side of the fuse box, with a red plug. The similar can in the conv center is the hazard flasher.

It could be the turn/hazard assembly in the steering column. I had to replace it on my ‘89 IROC a long time ago. Putting the telescoping steering wheel back together was not fun. And since you have a firebird with an airbag steering wheel... Oy Vey!

Thank you, I found it. I went to my local auto parts store and picked up a new flasher. After installing it everything worked.
