Alternator not charging battery at all

Hi everybody I recently purchased an 88 iroc-z and as soon as i got it in my driveway, the car stalled and the battery was dead. I figured it was the alternator so i took the alternator off of my 90 RS and still nothing. I even put the alternator out of the 88 into the 90 and it worked perfectly. I tried jumping the alternator right to the battery, but the battery still isn't getting a charge. Im pretty much grasping at straws here and any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Re: Alternator not charging battery at all

The alternator feeds power to the starter lug. The wire is protected bye a fusable link.
